Celebrating Life

Funerals, Memorials, Celebrations of Life and End of Life Planning

As a funeral Celebrant, I work with you to co-create ceremonies that honour life, acknowledge loss, celebrate love and hold space for grief.

We are all unique and different in the way that we live, and so I believe that when the time comes, everyone should be able to have a personalised funeral that reflects who they were, what and who they loved, their values, beliefs and even their funny quirks!

Often funerals are held at a crematorium, chapel or graveside…..but they don’t have to be! You can celebrate and commemorate a life pretty much anywhere you like.

Read this blog post ’The Funeral Revolution’ to find out more about all the wonderfully bespoke options there are!

I also support people as they approach the end of their lives, helping people to understand the different choices and options around death.

Read my blog post ‘The D Word’ for more on this.

Alternative Funerals, Celebrations of Life, Living Funerals & Memorials

These tend to be at an alternative venue (hotel, private home, garden, beach, pub, theatre etc). Sometimes a Funeral Director is involved, but often not, as the cremation or burial may have taken place separately.

Read my blog ’The Funeral Revolution’ for further information.

Baby Loss Ceremonies

Baby Loss Ceremonies – After the heartbreak of losing a baby, a formal funeral may not feel appropriate, but parents often want to acknowledge their beloved baby in some way with close friends and family. These ceremonies are loving and gentle – reflecting the need to honour the love for a child who is always held in their hearts.

A living funeral can be a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone birthday or anniversary, or to help come to terms with a terminal diagnosis. The funeral for mum was quite simply beautiful - and everything we had hoped it would be.
You were calm and gentle and so caring and it shone through in every word.
From the very start you have been kind and considerate and thoughtful in all you have said and done and we have appreciated it so very much.
You are amazing at what you do and you bring such kindness and patience with you in to a situation of such pain and sadness.
